Home 3rd day Morning
Esteemed Friend
I hope I shall not trouble thee every day, with a line from
me perhaps thou received one by the yesterday mail but fearing
I did not direct it properly I thought it best to send thee a
line by Ebenezer to inform thee that our Legacy of one
thousand Dollars is deposited in the Powell Bank & ready
for to be put out as soon as a place can be found
we are anxious to have it a very pleasant visit from
on Interest but we feel him on 7^th day last
very particular as to the H. Fry returned yesterday after
person who has it thou knows that we wish to have it secured on Land
by Bond & Mortgage in order to have it perfectly safe if such a thing is possible I do not imagine that any one in the Village knows that we have received it & we want it secured before it is known Cousin Asa came on purpose to bring the Money & we had an absence of about 14 days
most of which she spent at Step Tabers’ nursing him he had been very ill with Dysentery but is recovering. We are all in usual health.
From Thy Friend
