Orange County Park News
December, 1970
Mrs. Amy Bull Crist, chairman of the Hill Hold Restoration Committee, and two Orange County Park employees peruse new sign at the site of the 201 year-old stone Bull-Jackson House (rear). At left is park maintenance foreman Howard Armbruster, who is assisting restoration expert Charles Peterson, AIA, in exploring the walls and construction of the house to determine which parts are original to the house and which are additions and alterations. At right is Albert Durland, park maintenance supervisor. The house was constructed by Thomas Bull, for whom the 647 acre park
is named. It was willed to the county by a descendant, the late Margaret E. Jackson, along with 189 acres of land.
