GARRETT T. TOWNSEND ROOM 46 24-26 NORTH STREET MIDDLETOWN, N. Y. June 7th, 1 9 2 7 Mrs. Bartow W. Bull, Stony Ford, N. Y. My dear Mrs. Bull: I enclose herewith two Guaranteed First Mortgage Participation Certificates issued by the Hudson Counties Title & Mortgage Company of Newburgh, N. Y., both in your name, one for $800.00 in Mortgage No. 41, Certificate No. 103, and one for $200.00 in Mortgage No. 54, Certificate No. 104. The checks for interest on these Certificates will be mailed to you direct, every three months. I also received a letter from Mr. Bull this morning, in which he returned me a letter of the Hudson Counties Title & Mortgage Company dated June 1, 1927, that I had sent to him for inspection and return. This makes our business all straight. Mr. Bull asked me if Dr. Bishop had given me any great help. I might say that the Dr. came up from New York City and took back with him my check for $500.00, got which he told me that I had a 25¢ on a $1 heart, and that I must keep myself entirely quiet; have no excitement, never overeat; say my prayers every night, and sleep 26 hours out of 24! He says there are many cases like mine of men who exhaust themselfes without knowing it. The Dr. was a very pleasant gentleman, and he had a most happy expression on his face on receiving my check. My brother and Dr. Hardenbergh tell me he is the best man in New York City, and personally I rather liked the fellow. I am obeying orders, and sitting around the house, and being an absolutely useless piece of timber, but they tell me that is what I will have to do for some months to come. Yea, verily, the mighty have fallen. Yours very truly, G. T. Townsend GTT:M
