To all to whom these presents shall come
Know ye that I Nehemiah Denton of the
Town of Goshen, County of Orange & State of
New York for and in consideration of the
of one hundred and seventyfive Dollars
lawful money of the state aforesaid to
me in hand paid by James Bull of the
Town of Wallkill County & State aforesaid
the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
have bargained sold and Deliverd and by
these presents these presents doth bargain sell and diliver
unto the said James Bull a Negro Girl
named Sal nineteen years old May last
which said Negro Girl is now in the actual
possession of the said James Bull to have
and to hold the said Negro Girl unto the said
James Bull and to his Heirs & Assigns forever
& the said Nehemiah Denton for himself his
Heirs Executors and Administrators the said Negro
Girl unto the said James Bull his Heirs &
assigns will warrent and defend against any
person or persons lawfully claiming said Negro
Girl in witness whereof the said Nehemiah
Denton has hereunto set his hand and seal
this thirty first Day of March eighteen hundred
and ten.
