Bull Completes 1st Two Phases Of Pilot Training
Aviation Cadet Richard C. Bull, son of Mrs. Genevieve G. Bull of Central Valley, New York has recently completed the first two phases of pilot training at Randolph Field, Texas.
Well along the road to winning his wings and a commission in the Air Force, Cadet Bull moves on to Advanced pilot training at Williams AFB to receive even more intensified flight training in tactical aircraft such as the P-51 and P-80.
The new Air Force training program, which puts the student at the controls of a real combat type airplane while still receiving flight instruction, has been found to produce some of the best trained airmen in the world.
Cadet Bull, having mastered the basic techniques of formation, acrobatics, navigation, and cross-country flight, now is prepared for the Advanced stage which will incorporate the techniques of combat and turn out an airman capable of mastering the Air Force's largest and speediest warplanes.
