Dear Board Member:
I thought you might be interested in the progress of the application for tax relief with respect to gifts and bequests to the organization. I enclose a copy of a letter addressed to the Association at the Bull Stone House.
Perhaps by the time of our meeting on April 7, 1979, you no doubt will have some comments, suggestions and ideas helpful to establish our compliance with the provisions of the letter. Please have some thoughts which might be helpful to Jim Sinclaire especially for him to take back to Mr. Siegal of McCarter & English, the attorneys who processed our application.
With respect to the statement that we need an employer identification number, when we were known as the William Bull and Sarah Wells Family Assoc., Inc., we had an I. D. #14-602076. This number has for years appeared on all our tax reports under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Perhaps Jim Sinclaire will find out if we should get a new number under our new name.
The Family suffered a great loss. Louis Brown died March 8, 1979.
Sincerely,
[Signature: Henry]
