This Indenture made this first Day of June in the Year of Our Lord Seventeen Hundred and Eighty nine Between Joshua Brown Junr. and John Vail of the Township of Goshen in the County of Orange and State of New York of the One part and Peter Bull and John Bull his Brother of the same place of the Other part Witnesseth that the Said Joshua Brown and John Vail for and in Consideration of the Sum of five Shillings to them in hand paid by the Said Peter Bull and John Bull the Receipt Whereof is hereby Acknowledged they the Said Joshua Brown and John Vail hath Given Granted Bargained and Sold and by these presents Doth give grant Bargain and Sell Unto the Said Peter Bull and John Bull All that Certain peice or parcel of Land and Premisses Situate in the Township of Goshen County of Orange and State Aforesaid Being Some part of a Tract of Land Granted to William Bull and Richard Gerrard and also some part of a Tract of Land Confirmed to Elizabeth Denn it Being BOUNDED as follows Beginning at a Chestnut Sapling with Stones About it being the South Corner of a Lot of Land Belonging to Peter Bull in a line Known by New North west Line and from thence Runing along Said Bulls Line North Thirty five Degrees East Eighteen Chains twenty nine links to a Stake and Stone thence South forty nine Degrees forty minutes East Thirteen Chains Ninety five Links to a Stake and Stones on the Northwesterly Bounds of the lands of John Bull thence along the Same South Thirty seven Degrees forty minutes West eighteen Chains twenty nine links to the Aforesaid North west line Thence Along the Same North forty nine Degrees forty minutes West thirteen Chains to the place of Beginning Containing Twenty four Acres of Land Together with all and Singular the Improvements and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto Belonging or in any wise Appertaining TO have and to hold the Above granted Lands and premisses with their Appurtenances unto the Said Peter Bull and John Bull their heirs and Assigns from the day of the date of these presents for and during the full end and term of one whole Year next ensuing to be Compleat and Ended yielding and paying therefor at the Expiration of Said Term one pepper corn if the Same be Demanded to the Intent That by Virtue of these Presents and by force of the Statute for transferring of Uses into possession they the Said Peter Bull and John Bull may be in the Actual possession of all and Singular the Land and Premisses above mentioned and thereby Enabled to Accept and receive a grant and Release of the Reversion and Inheritance thereof to them the Said Peter Bull and John Bull Their heirs And Assigns for Ever to the only use and behoof of them the said Peter Bull and John Bull their heirs and assigns. In Testimony whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto Interchangeably set their hand and Sealed the day and year first above written —
