Tioga July 5th 1802
Dear sir,
I received your letter of the 15th of Decr last together with the two Pamphlets, and post paid, for which I return my most grateful acknowledgments and sincere thanks; I have just wrote to Coll. Hopkins respecting the takeing some affidavits in Jersey, to support my claim to a lott of land in the county of Cayuga, and requested Coll. Hopkins to present my compliments to you, and to know if you thought it likely or probable, that you should want my evidence, in the case with Mr. Savage & Campbell, and as I find the Bearer (Capt. Baldwin) does not set out so soon as was intended, I cannot pass you by without speaking to you on paper.
If you should want my evidence in the above case, I should wish to know it in proper time, so as to prepare for the Jorney, and not to undertake any other Jorney, that might prevent my coming to you, if you should want my attendance, either at court or before Arbitrators.

I am yet free from goal or Jail, which I did not expect I should be free from so long, when I was with you in Goshen last fall; if I could know that you would not want me next winter, I have a wish to attend the Legislature at Albany next winter, respecting the title of a lott of land, that I am arrested upon.
I send this by Capt. William Baldwin, who will pass through Goshen, on his way to Newyork, we are so poor here that it is hard to find money to pay postage of letters, but your generosity has helped me on that account.
We are all, this time enjoying a good and comfortable state of health, except myself, who am much exercised with the rheumatism, I sincerely hope this may find you and your family enjoying the blessing of health.
Miss Fry thanks you for the present of the rideing whip, I thank you for the Pamphlets, Charles Frederick Fry thanks you for the History of Franklins life. We all join in our respects and good wishes to yourself, and to your good spouse, Mrs. Bull.
And I am, with sincere esteem
and regard, your friend and very
humble servant
Abiel Fry
Mr. Peter Bull
