The remaining officers chosen were as follows:
Hamlet S. Roe of Chester, vice-president.
Ernest M. Bull of Blooming Grove, treasurer.
Robert McLeod Jackson of Hamptonburgh, secretary, and Margaret Dill
Hallagan, of Campbell Hall, assistant secretary.
Mr. Roe and Jesse F. Zabriskie of Hackensack, N. J., were elected managers to succeed themselves for a term of three years each; Vertrees Ackerly
of Crystal Run was chosen for three years; Charles W. Thew of Hampton-
burgh was elected for two years to fill the unexpired term of Albert C.
Bull, deceased, and Phebe Bull Slaughter of Warwick for one year to fill the
term of Cornelia Hawkins, resigned. Bartow Wright Bull and Dolly W.
Booth were appointed as the respective chairmen of the Picnic and Reception Committees for 1937. The following resolution was adopted on the death of our late president,
Albert C. Bull:
RESOLVED: that we express our sense of loss in the death of our
president, Albert C. Bull, on January 6, 1936, and that we record our appreciation of Mr. Bull's unfailing interest in the welfare of the Association and of his whole hearted cooperation in all its undertakings.
Mr. Bull was, throughout his life, interested in the family picnics and
attended them whenever possible; he was on one or more occasions
elected president of the informal family association; he was a member
of the committee which in 1918 obtained title for the family of the
site on which the Sarah Wells marker now stands on the Hamptonburgh-Goshen road, and took an active part in the selection and erection of the marker. After the incorporation of the Association in 1920 Mr. Bull ever
stood ready to serve the Association in any way possible. He was elected to the Board of Managers on August 28, 1929, and served for the
term of three years; he was again elected manager on August 24, 1935,
and on the same date chosen president of the Association.
Mr. Bull took an active part in the planning and carrying out of the
work done on the Stone House last fall until stricken with the illness
of which he died. Mr. Bull's kindly, tactful ways and
effective cooperation in the Association's work will be greatly missed.
It was voted that in future luncheon be had at 12 noon and that the business meeting be held afterwards. Communications and Gifts
Greetings were received from Wm. Edgar Bull of Charleston, S. C., who
reached his 80th birthday on May 18, 1936; from Andrew S. Beyea of Smith-
town, New Brunswick, Canada; Mr. and Mrs. James D. Bull of Buffalo;
Wm. R. Bull of New York; Letitia B.

there was no storm until after the
picnic and the occasion was a thoroughly delightful one.
The intimate friendliness of the day seems to increase from
year to year. Of course the oftener one comes the more people
one knows and the better the day
seems to be. Strange as it may seem
every year people come for the first
time. This year there were perhaps
15 first comers. There is only one
person who may have the credit of
having attended every picnic, and that
is Joseph C. Eager of Hamptonburgh.
Mr. Eager said to us this year that
he believed he had come to every

children and from the gales of childish
laughter heard in the distance as
well as from such comment as we
have heard, Mrs. Brown was a great
success.
After singing of verses from "America" and "God Be With You Till We
Meet Again", led by Harry Bull of Hamptonburgh and Miss Julia L.
Muirheid of Coram, L. I., adjournment was
taken to the last Wednesday in August, 1937.
