The attendance is believed to have been larger than at any time since the 1912 pageant. Just about 350 names were registered and every year many forget to register. Therefore it is reasonable to assume that about 400 people were present. Tables, chairs and benches were inadequate, and many had to sit on the grass. Perhaps the return to the traditional last Wednesday in August, combined with a beautiful day, helped to account for the large attendance. All look forward to returning on the last Wednesday in August, 1939, God willing.
