THE NEWBURGH NEWS, THURSDAY, DEC 11, 1941 HUDSON VALLEY Landmarks [Photo of the Old Stone House] In the Town of Hamptonburgh stands the Bull House. It was built by William Bull, an Englishman who married Sarah Wells, famous as the first woman in that area. They were married on 1718 when they first lived in a log cabin near the site of this house.
