1. Three Generations of Winners
The left photo features three generations of ribbon-winners from the Hunter family:
Steve (left): The youngest male ribbon-winner in 1945.
Elizabeth (right): Steve's daughter, who was the youngest female winner in 1978.
Luke Hunter Broge (infant): Elizabeth and Brett Broge’s son, who became the youngest male winner in 2009.
2. You May NOT Kiss The Bride
The right photo shows a practice run for a historical reenactment ceremony scheduled for Goshen Historical Day:
The Reenactment: Michael Brown (playing a roving magistrate) playfully tells the newly "married" couple, Emily Brownell (playing Sarah Wells) and William Bodensieck (playing William Bull), "you may NOT now kiss the bride."
The Attire: Emily is wearing a replica of the 1700s wedding dress worn by Margaret Bull, which was originally made by Sarah Wells.
The Reaction: Emily (of Goshen) laughed at the magistrate's remark, while William (of Maybrook) broke his only smile of the ceremony.
