An invitation is extended to the public to celebrate the 300th anniversary of Sarah Wells’ arrival in the Hudson Valley.

Location: The Bull Stone House, 183 County Route 51, Campbell Hall/Hamptonburgh.
Admission: $5 per person, with a maximum of $20 per family.
Historical Context
Sarah Wells: In 1712, at just 18 years old, she was asked to settle property on the Wawayanda Patent. She traveled up the Hudson River via sloop, landed near New Windsor, and journeyed inland to settle near the Otterkill.
The Bull Stone House: A colonial fieldstone home built in 1722 by William Bull, where he and his wife, Sarah Wells, raised their 12 children. Remarkably, the house is still occupied by the family that built it 290 years ago.
Activities & Attractions
Tours: Both the historic Bull Stone House and its New World Dutch Barn will be open for public tours.
Family Fun: Features craft activities, animals to visit, horse and cart rides, bounce houses, music, and refreshments.
Pie-Baking Contest: A "Sarah Wells pie-baking contest" will be judged by Bull family members. Contestants must drop off their pies at the Bull Stone House between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. (a separate $5 entrance fee applies), with winners announced later in the afternoon.
