Bull Stone HouseScope and Content
Following a medley of handshaking, and kissing, Saturday, over 400 persons from across the nation settled down to basket lunches under the large trees on the grounds of Bull Stone House in Campbell Hall. Here are some Montgomery residents who fortified themselves with baked beans, salads, chicken, baked ham, homemade rolls, bread and dessert (from left) Laurie Seacrist, 8, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Seacrist; Paula Bastiano, 9, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Bastiano; Jennifer Bastiano, 6 (back row, from left) Mrs. Bastiano; Mrs. Genevieve Nave; Mrs. Louis Brown, former resident of Bull Stone House, and attending her 64th consecutive picnic; Melanie Brown, 8, youngest member who resides in the present Bull Stone House. Children came dressed as Indians. They performed a Virginia reel, danced by the Bull children on the same grounds years earlier. Because of the 250th anniversary, a pageant took place along the lines of one staged 50 years ago during a bi-centennial party.
