Affidavit of Title
STATE OF NEW YORK, COUNTY OF ORANGE, ss.:
HENDRIK HAAKMEESTER and JOHANNA MARIA HAAKMEESTER, his wife, severally being duly sworn, say: we reside in the Town of Hamptonburgh, County of Orange and State of New York.
We are the owners of premises situated on the easterly side of the road leading from Goshen to Hamptonburgh in the said Town of Hamptonburgh on the farm now owned and occupied by us consisting of 360 sq. ft. and described in a deed thereof this day made by us to the William Bull and Sarah Wells Family Association, Incorporated.
Said premises have been in our possession since April 1, 1929; that possession has been peaceable and undisturbed, and our title has never been disputed, questioned or rejected, as far as we know. We know of no facts by reason of which said possession or title might be called in question, or by reason of which any claim to any part of said premises or any interest therein adverse to us, might be set up. There are no judgments against us unpaid or unsatisfied of record entered in any court of this State, or of the United States, and said premises are, so far as I know, free from all mortgages, leases or other incumbrances.
There are no actions pending affecting said premises.
No proceedings in bankruptcy have ever been instituted by or against us in any court or before any officer of any State, or of the United States, nor have we at any time made an assignment for the benefit of our creditors.
We are citizens of the United States, and are more than twenty-one years old.
Affiant Johanna Maria Haakmeester is the only person to whom I have ever been married. She is over the age of twenty-one years and is competent to convey or mortgage real estate.
Affiant Hendrik Haakmeester is engaged in the farming business on said farm.
There are no facts known to us relating to the title to said premises which have not been disclosed to the William Bull and Sarah Wells Family Association, Inc.
This affidavit is made to induce the William Bull and Sarah Wells Family Association, Inc., to accept a deed to the premises referred to herein, and pay the consideration therefor.
