Dear Cousin.
Am writing to let you know Andrew passed to a better home
early Easter morning April 9th. It was hard to part with him. and
I know I am going to pass many a lonely hour. But I have four children
and three in Laws and any of them would to all they can to make
me comfortable. We know that God doeth all things well.
and is to good to be unkind. Some day we will understand better
why these things are. after the funeral they all decided I had better
come to Fredericton with my daughter for a rest and perhaps to help
forget. But that I can never do. I am always thinking of him. even when
talking to others. of other things. I do not know just when I will be going home but not till the roads dry some. unless some thing happens
unforeseen. We had a hard winter here especially March and
April plenty of snow but the streets and roads are bare-now. The two boys are both growing fine the oldest is doing great at school the youngest
will start in the fall and is looking forward to going the post-office at Smithtown has been out for a number of years. But Andrew always
had his mail sent to Smithtown it always went to Hampton
then back to Nauwigewauk where our mail comes. so I
always have mine sent there. But at present it will be
Smith's Vulcanizing Service Fredericton. New Brunswick.
Best regards to all the Family.
Almira K. Beyea.
He will be glad to see you any
time you can come. We saw Mr. Perkin's death before Andrew passed
