Dear Mother I want to ask thee weather I can get some money from home, what condition the affairs at home are in I don’t know but if it is possible for me to get some money, I should like very much to have it, even if I pay a good interest for it. The condition of Southern Kansas is such, that with the opportunity I have, I think that by investing a little money I could lay the foundation for a good property I have an interest in a Townsite that I am confident, will, at the next election be made the County Seat of Bourbon Co. and I need some more money to make some individual improvements thereon and I must pay my part of the general expense. If thee can accomodate me please do so as soon as convenient and oblige Thy Affectionate
