Subject

The following is a true account as told to me by my grand-father Benjamine Harlow Daniel Harlow Bull. Witness Richard Bull. Campbell Hall April 26, 1895. Daniel H. Bull says that his Grandfather Benjamin Harlow told him that the day before Fort Montgomery was taken by the British, he asked his commanding officer if he could have a furlough as he had not had one since he had been in the war, and he wanted to go home for a short time on account of sickness in his family. His officer let him go and that night his daughter, Hannah Harlow was born, she married Able B. Watkins. Hannah was the youngest sister of Phebe Harlow who married Moses Hawkins and Lena Harlow who married Richard Bull and was the mother of Daniel Harlow Bull.
