Miss Bull Wed at Cornwall Meeting
MRS. JAMES HARVEY SORRELL
The Meeting House of the Religious Society of Friends at Cornwall
was the scene Sunday of the marriage of Miss Mary Jane Bull, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pierson Bull, 46 Prospect avenue, and James
Harvey Sorrell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Sorrell of Rural Route
Three, Middletown, Ohio. The couple pledged their mutual vows before
the monthly meeting of the Society at 3:30 p. m. Gladioli arrangements
served as decoration for the meeting house and the reception which
followed at the Storm King Arms, Cornwall-on-Hudson.
The bride wore a waltz-length gown of white embroidered organdy
with Dior waistline. Her shoulder length veil and mitts were of tulle,
and she carried a spray of white gardenias and feathered carnations.
Miss Edith H. Conant of Schenectady was her maid of honor and
bridesmaid was Miss J. Claudette Jones of Washington, D. C. Their
embroidered organdy gowns, of mint and yellow respectively, were also
waltz length and had scoop necklines. Both attendants carried nose-
gays of green, yellow and white daisies, with matching daisy sprays
in their hair. Best man was William D. Allman of Masillon, Ohio, and ushers were Raymond Sorrell of Hamilton, Ohio, brother of the bridegroom, and Jack
W. Lounsbury of Middletown, N. Y. A basque dress of periwinkle blue with insets of dotted Swiss was chosen by the bride for traveling. After a motor trip through northern New York the couple will live in Hamilton. Mrs. Sorrell is a graduate of Middletown High School and Wilmington College, Wilmington, Ohio. Mr. Sorrell is an alumnus of Hamilton City Schools and Wilmington
College, and is now a student at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. He
has a position with the Hamilton Board of Education. He served two
years with the U. S. Army.
