To the Collector of District No. 4 of the Township & Co. of Canons
You are hereby commanded to collect from each person in the annexed rate bill named, the several sums therein named together with one per cent for your fees and from the receipt thereof, within six days, and all sums therefore received you are ordered within ten days after the collection thereof, excepting your fees, into the hands of the Trustees of the School. And in case any person therein named shall neglect or refuse to pay the amount of profile bill name as specified, you are to levy the same by distress & sale of the goods and chattels of such person so refusing.
Given under our hands this the 21st day of Oct in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty five.
