Dear Aunt Lillian, I have become interested in the family history in the past few years and have obtained a great deal of information about the Cagen and Watts from my Aunt Margaret Howell, Mich. However, I ran across a newspaper clipping of an unknown date in which it says that your late husband Wesley Weir had traced the family history to 200 BC on the Isle of Wight and gave a few details of the family from then on. I was wondering if you know where this information could be obtained. I was also wondering about Lucille and her family. In fact I have very little concrete information on the N.Y. Watts other than their dates of birth. Some time I would like to get up to Newburgh for a while but I don’t know when that will be.
We made a trip to Washington and N.J. and then this Michigan to see my mother. She has recently sold the farm and is now living in a house quite close to my sister Marian. She seems to be in good health for her age. We also saw Mayme Walker for a few minutes. She has not been well for the past several years. Since I do not know your state of health and activity, this is an inquiry as to where such information might be obtained. If you can not give me the information that I would like, perhaps you would know who can.
Sincerely,
Theodore GroganRelationships
