Smithtown, N. B. Sept. 15th 1936. My Dear Kinsfolk:- Thanks so much for the papers containing reports of the Bull family picnic of 1936 we were certainly pleased to get them, but as you must know we mortals are never quite satisfied and we would liked very much to have had a few lines from you telling about your triumphant entry to Orange County after your short stay among us Bluenoses and especially it would be interesting to have a snapshot copy of that picture that was taken of Miss Bull and our Edwin Smith. Perhaps it is not too late to hope for them yet- The pipes you brought me, Mr. Bull, I have given five of them to members of the Bull family and they are fully appreciated I can assure you I rather think I may keep one for myself, a souvenir of the "Old Stone House" and the interesting folk who live in its vicinity. I received a letter from Mr. Jackson in which he wrote of seeing you after your return, he also sent me a Picnic Report. Then Miss Sarah A. Payne sent to me a clipping taken from the Middletown Times Herald of August 24th 1936 containing a Report of the Picnic giving a picture of the official staff of the Bull Family Just by way of diversion please tell Mrs. Crist for me that I think she looms up quite conspicuous as the Mother Head of our wonderful family, indeed, I am sure she seems much more inflated in that picture than she appeared when I met her in 1929 but of course I do not think that her being elected to the high and honorable office of President of the Bull Family Association has had anything to do with her present appearance. Mr. Cyrus Bull was much disappointed that he did not see you when you were here he told me if he could of only known that you were here he would surely come out and seen you I really think he meant it epecially after I gave him a description of Miss Bull as she appeared to me Mr. Bull is a young bachelor much younger than Edwin Smith Well here is hoping that you may come again next year and be able to stay longer so as to get acquainted with more of our branch of the Bull Family and with every good wish I remain, Sincerely Yours, Andrew S Beyea
