Dear Cousins:
I would like to know the secret of being able to write a letter year after year with something original to stimulate you and satisfy you so that you will be happy and glad to hear from your family Treasurer and welcome his annual appeal to fill the Family exchequer, but January doldrums are no stimulation, especially with taxes, snow and ice to face.
I can point with some pride that your contributions to the Endowment Fund have reached a point where the income for the last fiscal year ending June 30, 1959 amounted to $426.32. This income will just about assure us of land tax money, so that contributions to the Endowment Fund should continue in the hope that it will soon become large enough to support our project, meanwhile each year, I have to write for support of the General Funds. We do need a new power lawn mower.
Our Genealogy Fund has begun to grow but we are still quite short of our goal. At the last Board meeting, it was suggested that the President appoint a Committee to work with Cousin Dolly W. Booth, our family historian. This Committee will consist of at least one person representing the family of each of the twelve children of Sarah Wells and William Bull. I believe Cousin Charles Thompson, our President, is selecting such Committee. It is hoped that the Committee will have sufficient funds to carry on its work. Naturally, any contribution to the Genealogy Fund would be most welcome.
The Annual Picnic will be held August 27th, 1960 at the Stone House, Hamptonburgh, New York.
Sincerely,
[Signature]
Henry P. Bull,
Treasurer
