Mr. Barton Bull & Family
Dear Mr. Bull
Your very kind letter was most gratefully received and I can only say how I do appreciate the sympathy of all our friends. My dear wife had a host of very warm friends and not the least of them were her New York relatives as she was always so interested in them. She was very grieved last summer that she was not able to have entertained your party

as she would have liked and so often spoke of it hoping that you might come again before long when she could do more for you all. Her end came very quietly and her troubles and weariness were ended I think. It was perhaps a blessing as she would have been a long time crippled and that would have been torment for her as she never was one that wanted to be waited on.
I saw Col Bull this and he was very glad to hear you were all well. I hope Mrs. Bull and the other members of your family are well and if any of you come this way again I hope you will come and see us. Florence's niece Grace Winslow is here and I am sure would make you welcome. She has been staying here for the last two years but just happened to be away when you were here last year.
Please give my best wishes and regards to Mrs. Bull, and all the family and yourself.
Yours very sincerely,
C. H. Perkins
