Description

AD / w04774 China doll, 20 1/2" +/- tall. Head china - painted features and hair (black) - rest cloth. Pantalettes and petticoats white - heavy lace trimmed. Dress - white, blue rose print, top trimmed with white and blue ribbon, long white knit stockings. Black high cloth shoes. Belonged to Minnie E. W. Perkins - 1860 - 1898, daughter of Lucy & Francis Perkins and sister to George M. Perkins of Castine who was father of Minnie P. Day 1899-1970 whose wish was to have the doll placed in the Castine Museum. Gift of Jeanne Day Payson (Mrs. Paul M.) At '71 Payson
