Baby's dress of finely printed (cylinder print) cotton calico, red on white design of stylized floral sprigs arranged in diagonal stripe pattern. The dress has a high waistline, square neckline, and short sleeves that are gathered at the shoulder. The sleeves gather on a drawstring around the arm, creating a ruffle. The center back is open for the length of the dress. It fastens with a drawstring at the neckline, and probably would have fastened with a pin at the waistband. The skirt is lightly gathered into the waistband. The waistband and shoulder straps are lined with plain white cotton, lzb, 10/24/07
