Small bag. Bottom, embroidered in beige and green yarn in diamond patterns. Silk stitches in center of diamond. Green velvet top. Drawstring of green and beige at top. Tassel trim on sides - same colors.

Woman's drawstring bag, made with Berlin wool canvaswork for the lower half, and dark green velvet for the upper half. The canvaswork is done in shades of green, beige and cream, in a scale-like pattern; the centers of the "scales" are cream-colored silk. The canvas is loosely-woven cotton. There are green and cream silk tassels attached at the sides, at the seam between the top and bottom sections. The side and bottom seams are covered with green and cream silk cord, which also acts as the drawstring. The bag is lined with ecru cotton.Interpretative Labels
