Description

w00805 / HCM Fancy cotton waistcoat, white with blue floral design. Donor: Wescott family. Man's vest, made of white marseilles fabric, woven with a blue floral spray design within a larger white leaf. The vest has a long shawl collar, with rounded ends, and a center front opening which fastens with five self-covered buttons. There is a pocket at each lower side of the front, and a welted breast pocket on the proper left side. The back of the vest is plain white cotton. A buckled tab across the back at the waistline controls the fit of the vest. The vest fronts are lined with plain white cotton. "Hc M" is written directly in ink on the lower proper left side of the vest lining.
