Man's Vest
Back and lining brown, darker brown strap at back with brass prongs. Front is blue & brown silk. 6 covered buttons, two front pockets plus a watch pocket near the left arm hole. Hand sewn.

Man's vest of blue and brown figured silk, with shawl collar. Center front opening fastens with six small, self-covered buttons. There are two pockets on each side above the waist, and a smaller breast pocket on the proper left side. The vest back is made of brown glazed cotton; the fit adjusts by means of a buckled tab across the back of the waist. The vest fronts are padded. It is lined with tan glazed cotton in the back and yet another brown cotton in the front. The lower edges of the vest fronts are lined with dark brown leather, lzb, 10/24/07.Interpretative Labels
