Elson's Pocket Music Dictionary has been in print since 1909, first put together by Louis C. Elson, and subsequently updated by a number of other authors. The newest edition boasts 4,000 terms defined. There are three pieces of clear tape holding the binding together, and handwriting on the front stating the name of the owner and the date it was aquired.
