Description

Empty wooden thread spool. Label on one end reads: "Dragon, 100 Yds, Three Cord, 8." Dragon was one of the brand names used by the American Thread Company." There is also an image of dragon.

Use

Because most sewing machine thread was six-ply (or six-cord), this spool was used with a sewing machine, as evidenced by the hole punched through the middle of the label.
