Originally chartered in 1835, this Class I railroad ran from Boston throughout Massachusetts, as well as to New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, and Maine. It was a staple in establishing tourism in New England, and also transported various goods. This booklet outlines the railroad's route and things to do at the various stops.
