Newspaper article from the Willimantic Daily Chronicle, dated January 9, 1946

Context

A clipping of a newspaper article from January 9th, 1946 in Willimantic, CT. The title reads, " Lyndon E. Little Acquires Alling Block Property" The article reads, " One of the largest real estate transactions here in several months was completed this afternoon when Lyndon E. Little purchased the Alling Block property at 709-715 Main Street from William F. Sledjeski, proprietor of the Shell Chateau. Gerard E. Loiselle, a local realtor, served as an agent for the completion of the transaction. On the first floor of the brick building are the Rhode Island Textile Company store, of which Mr. Little is the proprietor, and the S. K. Ames, Inc. store. The second floor includes offices and the third floor two apartments. The transaction also includes the transfer of a large brick storage building in the rear or the main block. The property in question is in the heart of the local business district practically opposite the footbridge. It has been in possession of Mr. Sledjeski for about a year, the latter having acquired it from the Alling interests in New London at that time." The news article is by 10 1/2 inches by 8 1/2 inches.
