A small nutmeg grinder. The bottom handle is pushed up to move the nutmeg to the cylinder grater which is then turned with the handle on the side. There is a missing wooden handle in the channel on the side. A small piece of nutmeg is still in the grinder. This is likely the "Rajah" nutmeg advertised in the 1885 Simmons Hardware Catalog.Made/Created
