Scope and Content

A letter to Charles W. Hill from an Assistant Agent of the American Thread Company in Willimantic. The letter mentions "Mr. Curtis," likely Don Curtis, plant manager in Willimantic, seeing Hill's success in setting up operations in a sister facility in NY where the letter was sent. Letter is dated May 1, 1925. This comes very shortly after the union workers of the Willimantic plant voted to strike (March 5, 1925). The letter is typewritten on onionskin letterhead, folded in half and then in thirds. It has a staple mark in the upper left corner. The watermark on the paper includes a coat of arms featuring the letter "B" and "Advance Bond"
