Envelope filled with "Red Arrow Money," scrip printed by the Red Arrow Service Co., and auction company, and stamped with the names of two local Willimantic businesses: the Jordan Hardware Company and the Willimantic Lumber & Coal Co. The "money" comes in several different denominations, ranging from 10 cents to ten dollars. There are 29 pieces of scrip in the envelope. On the reverse of each scrip is printed a description of what Red Arrow Money was (It was to be used to bid for items at auction) and a note that it was copyrighted 1925 by the Red Arrow Service Co. of Springfield, Illinois. The envelope was addressed to The Jordan Hardware Company, 670 Main St., Willimantic, Conn. and carried a return address of James L. Goodwin, 15 Lewis Street, Hartford, Conn. It has a postal stamp of Hartford, Conn., May 11, 1 PM, 1929. Canceled postage was 2 cents.Use
