A collection of newspapers from the Willimantic Journal from January 1890- December 1891.Context
The first newspaper to be published in Willimantic was The Public Medium in January 1847. The Public Medium later changed its name to The Willimantic Journal. This is a bound collection of that newspaper from Jan. 3rd, 1890 to Dec. 25, 1891 (Willimantic Journal). From an inscription on the inside cover, we know that these newspapers were previously owned and/or bound by Saxton B. Little of the Saxton B. Little free library in Colombia, CT before being owned by Lucy Crosbie of The Chronicle. There is also a binding date written in the same hand of April 11th, 1892.Collection
