A black and gold rectangular metal tin with lid and two picnic basket style handles from the Singer sewing machine company. The front and back of the tin show an illustration of an antique Singer treadle sewing machine. The sides of the tin show intricate floral patterns and the Singer logo with "Quality Since 1851." The lid features an illustration of a woman using a sewing machine with a red "S" over her that says Singer Sewing Machines. The tin is scratched in a few places but structurally in good shape.
The Singer Corporation was founded in 1851 as I.M. Singer & Co. They are best known for their domestic use sewing machine and are still the biggest name in the business today.Collection
