Description

A commemorative spoon from the 1893 World's Fair, also called the World's Columbian Exposition or Chicago World's Fair, held in Chicago, IL. The fair commemorated the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus's 1492 expedition, and so his portrait is featured on the spoon's handle. In the bowl of the spoon is a heavily worn engraving of the Administration Building from the fair.
