The first newspaper to be published in Willimantic was The Public Medium in January 1847. The Public Medium later changed its name to The Willimantic Journal. This is a bound collection of that newspaper. Along with the rest of the Crosbie bound newspaper collection these newspapers were likely either owned or bound by Saxton B.
