Description

Letter to Wm. Smith from an unknown correspondent. Dated 1894. A newspaper clipping is pasted to the letter, entitled "About the Baby." The correspondent adds further advice about caring for babies in her/his own handwriting: "Never lay awake nights with it. Give the baby everything it wants, even a Bicycle. Never lay on your back on the floor, and use the baby for a foot ball, for you will be sorry. She likes this. Never hold the baby, with your Sunday pants on, as accidents will happen, and last of all -- I do hate to see a man changing a Diaper. Don't do it."
