Description

Samples of tatting in beige and blue. Tatting is a knotted lace making technique that dates back to ancient times. It utilizes a small shuttle to knot the thread by hand. Typically used to make edgings for handkerchiefs, table cloths, clothing, etc, the technique is thought to have originated in the making of fishing nets since a similar shuttle is used for that purpose.
