A letter to Charles W. Hill, manager of the American Thread Company NY mill from the company comptroller, A.L. Zimmerman, in regards to piece rates. These are rates while the operators were paid based on how much they produced in the factory. It also mentions stipulations for an operator to be paid a flat rate if, through no fault of their own, their work should fall below a certain rate. Letter is dated November 21, 1925. The letter is typewritten on onionskin letterhead, folded in half and then in thirds. The watermark on the paper includes a coat of arms featuring the letter "B" and "Advance Bond." On the top left edge of the page is a brass "Superior" fastener.Collection
