Register of Willimantic Post Office Employees 1903Entry/Object ID
2025.2.1Scope and Content
An official register of Willimantic Post Office employees as of 1903. The log contains the names of the employees, their positions, locations, and salaries. On the front inside cover is a questionnaire used by the postmaster to determine the various needs of a given post office. It asks, among other things, for the size of the town(s) being serviced, and how many of each type of position are employed. The front and back covers feature a swirling pattern popular in the late19th century. The binding is mostly separated but the pages themselves, aside from some yellowing around the edges, are in good, legible condition.Lexicon
