After the American Thread Company closed its Willimantic plant in 1985, it was sold to Jonathan Dugan, a Hartford developer with Willimantic roots. In order to create sufficient on-site parking for development, several of the newer (but less well built) mill buildings were demolished, the largest of which were Mill No. 5, Mill No. 6, and the Brick Dye House.Collection
