Photograph of baseball game being played at Recreation Park, Willimantic, CT. Photo appears to have been taken from an upper floor of Mill Number 3, which means the photo was taken between 1893 (when the Willimantic Fairgrounds was established) and 1926 (when Mill Number 3 was demolished). Black and white gelatin emulsion print, pasted onto cardboard and later (?) matted. Photographer unknown. The Willimantic Linen Company established the Willimantic Fairgrounds in 1893, and in 1913 transformed it into Recreation Park and deeded it to the City of Willimantic and Town of Windham.Photograph Details
