Description

Y&S Stick Licorice display and individual box. The display would have stuck out the top of a large container of individual boxes for sale. The box itself held one stick of black licorice embossed with the Y&S logo. As the text on the box indicates the stated purpose of the licorice was to alleviate coughs and throat discomfort due to colds. Y&S was a division of the National Licorice Company which was founded in 1902 and eventually sold to the Hershey Company in 1977.
