Black and white photographic print of mill worker housing, a cottage in "the Oaks," owned by the Willimantic Linen Company, Willimantic, CT. Unknown photographer. Taken c. 1890. The Oaks cottages were single-family units built in 1880 according to four different architectural plans on Quercus Avenue, Fairview Street, and Crescent Street in Willimantic. The Mill Museum holds the architecural plans in its collection, and they can be viewed elsewhere in this catalog. See, for example, 2022.4.71.
