A letter to Charles W. Hill from someone at the American Thread Co. asking if he could request relief from active duty because he is needed at the company. The letter is dated November 20, 1918. Hill did put in such a request which was granted the following January [2024.9.32]. The paper is creased in half and then in thirds, and in addition to the signature at the bottom of the letter, there is a handwritten "Hello!!" at the bottom left of the page.
