About 25 students from Pocomoke High School attended an AFS picnic at Shad Landing State Park last Monday night, despite the inclement weather. This is the last official function by the Pocomoke Chapter that Steve Bentley and Jo Haldorsen will attend since one is leaving the end of this month and the other leaves early in July. Jerry Shumate, the advisor, said that he has been pleased with both students this past year, calling them "two of the finest foreign students Pocomoke has had."
FAREWELL PICNIC. Steve Bentley of Australia and Jorunn Haldorsen of Norway who have been AFS International/Intercultural Program exchange students of Pocomoke High School this year, look over gifts from the Pocomoke Chapter at a farewell picnic held for them at Shad Landing Park recently. The students will join other AFSers in a three-week bus trip across the United States before returning home.Relationships
